Source For Sports London is extremely proud of the reputation we have earned since 1972. Our commitment to customer service is second to none. We bet you won't find another store anywhere that has the knowledge and talent that we have. Our staff is riddled with hockey players – from goalies and goaltending instructors, to forwards, and D. Our ski staff include four certified instructors and every one of our hockey department staff has played competitively. It's pretty much a store policy that if you haven't played the game, you don't sell the equipment.
Our service is what sets us apart from everyone else. Any store can sell an inline skate, goal pads or hockey skates, but how many can tell you why it will or will not work for you. We feel it is our duty to our customer to view EVERY product available in every price category and compare each for quality and value as well as shelf appearance. Each year in January, the Canadian Sporting Goods Association (CSGA) holds the largest show in the world. This show is open to all retail buyers who use the opportunity to view all the upcoming year's product lines. Most of the hockey, inline, and goal equipment the customer sees in the stores during the season is viewed at "THE SHOW". Most of our buying decisions were made during a full five day viewing/buying/ by three buyers. This enables us to select and advise our customers as to why something was not such a good choice. We hope that by inviting three separate opinions into every decision we are most likely to select the product our customer would select. After much scrutiny, we select the most worthy product entirely on its own merit. This formula means that our customers can always make their purchase with the utmost confidence. So if it's appropriate or proper fitting equipment or just some simple advice, feel free to drop in or call no matter how silly the question.
Our staff is told to do one thing - help the customer ! It is not uncommon to see one of our staff trying to take a customer out of a higher priced product and into something that is more appropriate. Unlike many other retail stores, our sales staff do not see dollar signs when someone walks into the store. Our staff do not, will not, never will, work on commission nor are they expected to sell "X" number of dollars per week. Their only job is to help you, the customer, our fellow athletes.
Ever go shopping in a department type store and ask something. You usually get the "department store stupid stare". Ask one of our staff (you may still get a stupid stare but we will immediately get one of our people that does know the answer). And you will get the right answer.
We believe that service is long term thinking. Still growing after 35 years and now even larger than ever - we must be thinking right. |
